Happenings..
Interesting how sometimes I manage to drag myself into projects and other initiatives and yet keep afloat mentally and physically ;). One important news item is that I'm now back to my university studies. With my full-time job, I'm taking it easy with only two courses per semester. I've got 90 left towards the completion of my Comp. Sci. major degree in software engineering.
On the other front, I'm trying to quickly finish off work on some of my consulting projects. Premium Retail Concepts (www.premiulretail.ca) being one of them. When I get to it, I find a lot of pleasure and satisfaction in writing Perl code and building my own CGI-App framework. Going back a few posts, I had used 'beta' version of the framework to build my UO Player Ladder application (uo.vladb.com/ladder).
Speaking of Perl, I seem to have been drawn back somewhat into the affairs of Perl Monks monastery, www.perlmonks.com. I manage to answer a couple Perl questions and/or come up with a more or less readable meditation post on a daily basis ;)
And then there's still the Tribes 2 Mod development. As soon as I'm finished shopping books for my university courses and getting used to academic studies (a week or two should do), I'm going to release alpha version of the mod. With project lead on holidays in France, Tim Ansley and I will take this upon ourselves to deliver the mod to our eager alpha testers.
