Heather Mills for the Gold Digger of a Century Award!!

You all heard the news of Paul McBeatle, err.. McCartney, parting ways with his "oh so lovely" and charming wife of four years, Heather Mills? I assume you then also heard Paul come in defence of his wife, and more so his own dignity, by stating clear and simple (paraphrased): my honey is no gold digger!?

Well, this is to Paul: wake up and smell the scent of gold coins triffling out of your piggy bank! Heather's played it out masterfully till the end.

If the prenuptial didn't sound romantic, I'm sure this public divorce and the humiliating loss of at least a third of your fortune will be no less than titillating.

But leaving Paul aside.. how do you figure Heather deserves a lion's share of Paul's fortune, much of which was earned way before she ever stepped into the picture? Clearly she had very little to do with Paul's success as a Beatle. In fact, she had absolutely nothing, Zip, a giant Do-nut of an impact on his career and the acquisition of the mountainous fortune! So, why should she benefit from that in her future life away from Paul?

If it was for me to decide, I would argue that she should leave the marriage with very little to no compensation at all. At the most, I would entitle her to receive regular payments towards child support and nothing more. The rest is up to Paul. If he wants to dedicate more of his wealth to provide for their only child together then all the power to him!

NHL Playoffs: Sharks drawn in Oil!

Let me preface my post with the obvious: I am a Canuck fan. But as soon as they've removed themselves from the playoff picture, I've turned into a Canadian hockey fan. As the playoffs progressed and every top seed team came and went, any hope for a canadian Stanley would be lost if not for the slick Oilers team.

Their run to this point has been nothing short of spectacular. Being down in both of their series, they seem to find the determination, focus, and energy to surge forward and dispatch their higher seed rivals in a commendable fashion. This latest series ending 2-0 shut out against the Sharks, capping a 4-0 game winning streak, would seemingly prove that the Oilers are really the big deal this time around!

There's now only four unlikely contestants for the Cup remaining. The Sabers, Hurricanes, Ducks, and Oilers. Who's going to take it all? I would put my dollar on the Oiler team. I want them to win for their fans and Canadian hockey fans alike!

Go Oilers Go!
