Another Bush protege in hot water ...

the story

Kudos to Mr. McCain! The blogging community should join in their calls for Mr. Gonzales to step down from his office of Attorney General. First the Wolfowitz affair, now this. Simply shameful and embarrassing!! What, are these guys figuring we are all dimwits!?!

If you followed this story closely, you'd have definitely come across some of the utterly bizarre statements made by Mr. Gonzales at the congressional hearing. He starts off by arguing he was not involved in the firings of the attorneys, that it was someone else actually doing his job. Under further preassure, he concedes that the meeting to discuss the firings showed up on his calendar but he has no recollection of attending or being there. After even more preassure, he admits that he might have attended the meeting and signed something but still has complete loss of all memory related to the event!!! How incredulous is that!??!

Gonzales, please fire your ass and spare Mr. Bush yet another reason to be laughed at. Would you please remember to do that? After all, Mr. Bush has already earned his entry into the world's guiness book for his creative use of English vernacular and other-worldly intellect. The last thing Mr. Bush needs at this point is to have another good reason to laugh at him.
